He hates his own culture and runs away from it any chance he gets.  I can't respect a man that has no respect for himself.

Doesn't even have the guts to use his real name.

You should.  It's a symptom of his pathology.

The implication being that a person is inherently tied to their birth name and the culture they were born into, and to try to move beyond that is dishonest? What a peculiar idea. I don't endorse or condemn his decision to change his name, but that's a personal decision of his, and not at all relevant to the fact that he is an utterly horrific politician.

I thought I liked him after he said that the GOP needs to quit being the "party of stupid," but his subsequent words and actions do not follow that as he pushed Tea Party-style ideological purity and relentlessly attacks the other Republican presidential candidates.  So yeah, HP.

The winner of Iowa in 2016 is a definitive HP.
They haven't even voted yet!

Obvious HP, but I don't think the name change is a problem.

as though this forum isn't full of people whose ancestors used a different name in order to fit in / be more pronounceable to Anglos lol

Jindal's problem is that he is a constant disappointment.  He started out as a shiny new hope as a new direction for the Republicans but has descended to being a caricature of everything wrong with the GOP. And just when you think he has sunk lower than he can possibly go, he one ups it.  He's like Sarah Palin that way.

Pretty Awful.

The name change is fine, though.  I understand that "pee-yush" is a problematic name in this country.  (I say that as someone who's half-Indian, but I still use my Indian name.  My name is not so easy to make jokes about).
