Edwards is losing the white vote 50/36 (53/38 with leaners). That's down from losing it 44/41, but as long as he's over 30%, that should be enough.

Yeah, a big reason the undecideds are so high is that half of blacks are undecided.

Still, early voting was also down quite a bit in the northeast, especially in Caldwell's base parishes, so thats not good for him.

How can it be that there was such a big swing among whites but the top-line numbers barely budged?

^ Compared to last time's crosstabs, he's gone from +74 to +84 with blacks and +21 to +36 with 'others.'
