Assistant Secretary Henry Breckinridge: The only candidate running completely against the New Deal, Breckinridge's only experience has been as Assistant Secretary of War in the Wilson administration.
Republican PartySenator William Borah: The Dean of the Senate, William Borah is an independently minded Senator, who leans progressive.
Publisher Frank Knox: Another liberal, Knox also likes to put himself as the "outsider" in the party.
