O'Malley might soon take Sanders' spot.

Should we start an O'Malley campaign death watch? Cause it sure seems like it is heading that way.

The WaPo spin on this is that the O'Malley campaign is "perilously close to financial collapse":

For those who don't know, these are the limits for this:

For the Primary:

$10 Million Total Spending Limit (plus COLA (cost of living) adjustment)

$200,000 per-state spending limit (plus COLA)

Of the 10 Million, only $50,000 can come from personal funds

The first $250 of any contribution is fully matched by the federal government.

For the General:

Spending is restricted to the value of a $20 Million federal grant, Plus COLA, plus $50,000 of personal funds.

No per-state limit

Campaign contributions are strictly prohibited, but a candidate may raise money for a separate fund used for FEC filing, legal, and administration costs only. Spending on this part of the campaign is unlimited and not funded by the govt.

A candidate can elect to take public funds for both the primary and the general. They can also choose to take them for the primary but not the general, or vice versa.

Uh, he still wants to be President, and there's no one else willing to be the non-socialist Hillary alternative.
