So why are we making such a huge fuss over all these Hispanics, again?

That's been known for quite some time.  During the great recession jobs dried up and many immigrants left.  I remember Brazil was doing relatively well back then and Brazilians left to follow the jobs.

When we had an influx of unaccompanied minors they came from Central America.  Trump like a lot of troglodytes just calls anyone brown "Mexican."

To be fair, not all immigrants are from Mexico.

Because when the country loses some, there are still millions left.

True. I wonder what numbers are for the Central American countries.

How much of the net numbers are due to Americans retiring to warmer, cheaper climes? I know a fellow from my church who looked into this before ultimately deciding to winter in Belize due to language issues.

Doubt it.  I believe it is complex and in some desirable places in Mexico impossible for Americans to buy property.  Someone who is an expert correct me if I'm wrong.

You will choose not to believe this, but a lot of people find the idea that anyone, regardless of the color of their skin or where they came from, could come here ILLEGALLY while there are people waiting in line to enter through the process that, you know, our country's laws set up a little ... unfair.

My personal view is much more nuanced than that, but I can't debate someone who thinks opposition to illegal immigration is entirely a racial thing.  It's just not.

If they were here illegally to begin with, then good riddance. If not, this is quite sad.

Well some of the opposition is just plain garden variety stupidity.  The same people screaming about illegal aliens are the same ones using them for childcare, lawn care, cheap food, etc.  Mitt Romney anyone?  Give me a break no one wants a college educated motivated immigrant with their same skill set... only better and cheaper.  They want an uneducated guy or gal to use as cheap labor and blame for every crime and in the end torch them for fun/political gain.
