Pretty interesting. Great news for Baker/Hogan if they want to run again, but it's funny how basically everyone else in the northeast isn't doing so well. It also seems interesting how the Dems are mostly stuck in the middle and GOP governors seem to be either really popular or really unpopular.

Sorry, but these look like a bunch of garbage to me. Very GOP-friendly overall & especially in GOP-led states where your sheer number of partisan Dems vastly outnumber the disapprovals shown.

^ Yeah they all seem high to me. PPP rarely has Governors' approvals over the mid/high 50s but that's about par for the course here.

1. LOL Malloy
2. Seems Branstad and Otter are starting to overstay their welcomes
3. Surprised McAuliffe is this popular considering the utter beating he took in 13/14

Believable. Baker always had about 70% approval, Hogan - big sympathy after announcing his illness, other popular Republican governors come almost exclusively from Republican states (Sandoval is exception, but he always was very popular too)and so on. A bit high may be, but nothing i would classify as "impossible!"

I seriously doubt Nixon has a 52% approval rating after Ferguson, but if the numbers aren't too out there, it's good news for the democrats running for a statewide office next year.

Not saying this to be a hack, but the Tomblin approvals seem way out there. Like, way out there. The West Virginia Poll, which has a tendency to overestimate Democrats,  has him in the high 40s.

Tomblin did a lot of bridge-burning with the line item vetoes, his veto of the pain-capable ban, and pushing compliance with the Clean Power Plan. I think 50% is just about his ceiling given voter apathy and Tomblin's record.

Amazing Ige is that high considering he's done much of nothing for the past year.

Herbert's support seems a little low, I would say his support/approval is up in the high 60s or low 70s. He's a pretty non-offensive, low-key, personable (if dull, boring, and not that intelligent) governor.

I'd be shocked if Inslee's approval rating is actually over 50%.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that Bruce is as high as he is.

Hogan's approval may have something to do with the cancer but was probably already strong before that due to his leadership during the Baltimore riots.

Brownback doesn't surprise me at all. It is only due to the 2014 wave that he held on.

Doesn't look all too bad or off, even though I don't like polls that are added up over half a year.

Inslee's JA has always been so-so in every poll I've seen, just hard to believe the 55-26 rating. And the Nixon JA has to be off voters do have short memories but they will remember something like Ferguson, especially since the racial issues are ongoing.
