If Jesse Jackson endorses Bernie Sanders,  what would that do to the presidential race?

It would be the final nail in Sanders' coffin.

Jesse Jackson's Rainbow PUSH is still a powerful organization. Keep Hope Alive will be a crucial role in the South.

In a way, Jesse Jackson was kingmaker in 2008 when he did an inverted Sister Souljah on Obama.

Yeah, I don't think Jackson is going to be endorsing Sanders.

Jesse Jackson has pretty much disappeared from the political scene.  Obama won't give him the time of day, and I can't remember the last time anything he said made news.
By the way, I have always had a hard time understanding Jesse Jackson when he talks.  I can make out a word here and there, but he seems to slur his words and speak in an odd cadence.  How could interviewers understand him?   And his big catch phrases made no sense if you thought about them, even though they sounded powerful.  For example, "I was born in the ghetto but the ghetto was not born in me."  Everybody would cheer lines like that, but they are meaningless.

I think when he was defending his son Jesse Jr from accusations of mental illness (which may have turned out to be true, I don't remember).

The other guy conservatives seem to think is far more relevant than he actually is is Al Sharpton.

Sharpton was a joke when he ran for President. Jackson was a serious candidate.

Indeed, but Jackson was a serious candidate in 1988, a really long time ago. I think he's been forgotten by this point.

Jesse Jackson is not endorsing anyone right now, and he will wait until a Democratic presidential nominee is picked. I think that if Elizabeth Warren and Jesse Jackson continue to stay mum on who they'll support, things might be a little interesting.

Dude, in politics, anything can happen. Jackson still has a following in the African American and Latino community.
