I thought you were supposed to be posting Atlas's opinion, not mine. Wink

Do you even realize how incredibly stupid that is? How can one single election result completely change your view on how good or bad a state is?

I would have voted HS on this poll as an angry statement. Besides, it would have been enough to change my view: instead of 0 on a scale of -100 to 100, it would have been -5.

Best regional cuisine in the country, horrible climate.  It's basically unbearable 5 months of the year.  The humidity is just stupid.  Any place in the south that isn't on the coast or has some elevation is "HP" on climate alone.  And while Louisiana has a lot of coast, that's not where the people live.

But I love me some Po Boys and a crawfish boil.

Very mixed.  Backward in many ways, terrible climate, etc.  It's still hard not to love it for it's unique culture, history, and food, and I've always liked alligators.  Voted FS.

It's both of course.  The climate while horrible most of the year can be quite pleasant around now.  New Orleans looks lovely for Christmas.  Food, Music and booze are top notch. The further North you go the less interesting the state becomes.  Though I have  coworker who has lived in East Texas and Monroe and she swears Monroe is a hundred times better.  Crime and poverty are of course quite high and even in New Orleans you will encounter insufferable bigoted bluebloods.  Voted FS but with it's highs comes many lows.
