Really bad luck for Rand, that they will not use the YouGov poll for NH.

I apologize for asking this, but why has Trump been doing so good in New Hampshire? I haven't been following politics that much recently (which is why I don't post as much as I used to)

Buchanan won New Hampshire against Dole in 1996, so this isn't unprecedented.  New Hampshire can go for the right kind of conservative candidate.

Trump's base is white working class moderates. New Hampshire is full of those.

Also, both McCain and Romney had long-standing special ties to New Hampshire. No candidate does this year.

Trump is the de facto Northeastern candidate this year.

So what exactly is Jeb!'s strategy at this point? Iowa and South Carolina both look absolutely dire and New Hampshire has never exactly been overly keen on the Bush family.

Eventually, he has to attack Rubio in earnest, or else I don't see how he'll move up. This has been a bad year for Bush.

Right. At this point, the strategy for Bush, Kasich, Christie, Fiorina should be to trade places with Rubio, at least following NH. Bush made a sloppy attack on Rubio in a debate that ended up hurting himself. But he (his SuperPAC) presumably will use his (its) warchest to damage Rubio and promote himself. It's as likely to fail as succeed but it's his only real chance.

Looks like insulting Iowa has surged Trump into the lead there!

The result turned out to be "you know what Trump, you're right, Ben Carson is totally weird!" rather than "how dare you insult the great state of Iowa".

The gamble worked!

I didn't expect it would turn out that way, but it did.

Nobody can stand up to Trump.

So a four horse race, although Carson is fading. It is time for some of the rest to get out of there.

Huckabee needs to drop out yesterday. Iowa is his only hope at the nomination and he is polling at 1%. I'm not even sure why he is running at this point.
