It was wrong during the Rove/Cheney/Bush administration and it will be wrong again under a Trump administration.

What a horrible thing to say. Defending our use of torture because it's not as bad as decapitation lowers American exceptionalism and results in the opposite of what we try to achieve.

Waterboarding is not torture. It is an enhanced interrogation technique.

Trump is a law of the jungle man: eat or be eaten.

Tortures used by security agencies and military against terrorists have never stopped. Guantanamo bay is a perfect example. No matter that it is prohibited by law, violate the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights' since 1948, 'American Convention on Human Rights' signed in 1977 and 'United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment' ratified in 1988. In practice things are different.

Agreed.

I'm absolutely for very though punishments for hardcore criminals like terrorists; but torture would make us not better than they are. And: everybody is not guilty until the opposite is proven in a fair trial. That's what the constitution says. Trump either has no idea about it or he lies again.

Only low energy establishment hacks care about small government anyway. The actual GOP base has no interest in that nonsense. They want a big, beautiful military! They want a big, beautiful border wall, with a really elegant door to let the good immigrants in through! And they want strong, fully-funded Medicare and Social Security!

This forum really needs a like button.
