I wonder if there are any Huckabee supporters on this forum, I'd love to hear their opinion of this. In fact I have yet to meet a so-called Huckabee supporter IRL

Huckabee would be getting my vote if not for other equally good candidates in the race (Cruz, Santorum, Rubio, Bush, etc.).
Huckabee is great.  He would fight like hell as president to revoke same sex marriages, keep the country safe from Islamofascism, keep marijuana illegal, and get this country moving in the right direction.  If you are a law abiding citizen, who believes in personal responsibility then you have no reason to fear Huckabee, he is on your side!

Islamofacism? LOL. Even Obama would keep us safe from an ISIS takeover. And please find something better to care about than persecuting those who take a drug (Marijuana) that is less dangerous than Alcohol.

It's not retarded at all. Huckabee recognises that the only way to gain traction in the GOP primary is to make absurd statements like these.

Huckabee is great.  He would fight like hell as president to revoke same sex marriages,

1.) Most Americans believe in same sex marriage.
2.) Why are you against expanding rights to all people ?

Would you like Huckabee to also fight to reverse rights gained by Black-Americans during the 1950's (forcing them to ride in the back of buses, and drinking from segregated drinking fountains, etc ?)
Or reverse the right of women to vote in 1919 ?

Not sure if Marijuana is "less dangerous than Alcohol," but it is still dangerous.
What difference does it make if it is less dangerous than driving a car, partaking in underwater basket weaving, etc ?
Marijuana produces about 2-to-3 times more tar than cigarettes. (And most people who smoke wacky weed also smoke cigarettes.) This dramatically increases one's chances of emphysema and lung cancer later in life.

And by the way, most people who smoke Marijuana do not do it for "true" medical purposes ?
Many say they use it for such (having "fake" medical cards), but you are a fool if you believe in that nonsense.

I agree that a lot more people believe in same sex marriages now than 10 years ago.  TV and movies are partially to blame for desensitizing us to perversion.
By allowing same sex couples to get married we are saying marriage is whatever adults want it to be.  It gives legal standing to relationships that are not marriages and run counter to nature.
What people do behind closed doors is their business.  Keep it in the closet.  Just don't give them the legal standing, nor any rights.
Gays have always had a right to get married (to the opposite sex) and have kids.  And many did, and will continue to so.

Gays have always had a right to get married (to the opposite sex) and have kids.  And many did, and will continue to so.

Let's be clear about a couple of things ...
First you say that "a lot more people believe in same sex marriages now ..."
It is just not "a lot more people," but a majority of Americans. (Seems you just don't want to admit to it, or accept it.)

Second and most important, you need to understand that you are on the wrong side of history.
Immediately after Black-Americans gained more rights in the 50's and 60's, there were people (like you) who spoke about how blacks should not have more rights, and that doing so would "run counter to nature." Were they racists ?

Immediately after women gained the right to vote, there were many people (like you) who argued that women voting or running for office was ridiculous, and "counter to nature."
That women should just stay at home, take care of house chores and their children, and stay "closeted" (as you say).

Now many decades later (a century for women's rights), we look back at "these extremists," and are appalled by their behavior and the things they said (or continue to say). The younger generations look back, and just wonder "how can people back then, believe in such disgusting policies against the rights of others?"

So if you want to be on the wrong side of history, then continue with your archaic beliefs.
If you want your children, grand children or great-grand children to look at you "strangely" 30-to-50 years from now, then that's your choice.

I believe in the Ann Coulter approach.  If a person is gay, they should keep it to themselves!  Don't ask, don't tell.  Ann has a lot of gay friends, they just keep it to themselves.  They don't demand rights.  People need rules to live by.  We can't make the world paradise.  The more we try, the more people demand.  Pretty soon we'll have no more marriage at all!

Why is it always other candidates who get the label "goes fully insane", while whenever Trump does it, which is at least weekly, if not almost daily, it's never ever "goes fully insane"? Why is people's tolerance toward every single statement made by Trump always so inmense? I guess it is because people didn't use to take him seriously. But isn't it about time to start to take Trump seriously now that he's lead polls for 4 straight months? Why is this statement for instance more insane than Trump's wish to destroy the lives of 60-70 million Americans? Why doesn't that get more coverage? Why doesn't the media even care about that any more? (The last question I can answer myself as by criticising Trump, all the TV channels would seriously hurt their brands by cutting their ratings in half or thereabouts, yet the first question I hope is still relevant.)

The Republicans refusal to denounce Huckabee, kick him out of the party and off the stage is going to keep hurting them long after he's cashing his royalty checks and counting his speaking fees.

Memorizing the Qu'ran is kind of like when you're eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese, and then somebody offers you a medium-rare Angus beef burger with onion rings, and then suddenly you're now eating an enchilada casserole and a bag of peanuts, and a plate of nachos, and an Iowa corn dog.  It's not a garden salad, you know?

Why denounce him?  Huckabee is such a good guy.
He stands up for good old fashioned values and would make a fine president.  He is certainly no extremist.  Chuck Norris is a good friend of his.

Trump went fully insane in 2012.
