Unless it's a very unpopular idea, this will be first of a series (as long as the matchups have a chance to be competitive)

    vs.

Wayne County is greater Detroit. Ottawa County last voted for a democrat in 1864, it's population is 37% Dutch. It's largest city is Holland and it's seat is the coastal city of Grand Haven (west coast, Lake MI).

Ottawa County is actually a really nice place. That (SW) part of Michigan is definitely part with the most going for it.

I have been to Holland several times and it is incredibly beautiful and fun. I would prefer it to Wayne.

I've been to Ottawa County for a few days in 2012 and I remember that there were a lot of Republicans talking about politics.  It was also a nice place to stay for non-political reasons.
