Keep in mind that if you vote yes on this, you, according to one of our most esteemed and intelligent posters, "have the soul of a pidgeon [sic] at best."

Obviously yes. The Nazi's sharp rise in popularity between 1928 and July 1932 would not have been possible otherwise.

Eric2Oslo seems to think so. He loves Hitler (so does Lief and Landslide Lyndon).

No. Telling people who to hate loudly is not charisma.

God, the liberal weenies in this thread are ridiculous. "Hitler said obviously awful and evil things! Therefore, not charismatic!" So glad a few of you have had the mental flexibility to step outside the box of "me and mine" to actually be able to pass objective judgment. Now, I have no idea if Hitler was charismatic, I don't know German, but at least discuss his actual use of diction and rhetoric instead of relying on, of all things, ideology

He managed to turn an insignificant political sect into the most popular party in Germany, gaining tens of millions of devoted followers. I.e., the answer pretty much gives itself.

(I was going to ask what kind of idiot would claim otherwise, but after having read the other thread, I realize that it was pretty obvious...)

He was definitely charismatic, though part of his charisma was appealing to a nation that was desperate and would have tried anything.

From what I understand, he was really good at the old trick of beginning with a quiet, subdued voice, then slowly building up into a crescendo of passion (or in his case, hate) that ends in raised voices and shouting.

Eric Oslo and Landslide Lyndon are obviously morons, but I don't think saying that Hitler was charismatic to many people is an inherently normative or positive statement; in fact, it is quite descriptive.

So basically this:
Obviously yes. The Nazi's sharp rise in popularity between 1928 and July 1932 would not have been possible otherwise.
