Not really a fan, but honestly on the scale of "state atheism" I would say it lies in the better end, and I think that in many ways it was necessary for France, because the Catholic Church in the early 20th century neededto lose power. I'm less convince that it have really served as a positive factor in Turkey.

FF. A positive example is comparing Turkey, a relatively modernized and secular nation, to most of its neighbors. I'd prefer a more stringent approach though.

Mixed. HP in that it is applied in a biased fashion and goes too far sometimes. FF because separation of church and state is good.
