Trump+Carson+Cruz have been consistently 55-60% for months now. The establishment's reign over the party is done. The conservatives have taken full control.

This is Trump's highest showing in the YouGov poll. Rubio/Cruz rising too, Carson fading.

How can he have such high support?  I read in the Washington Post this morning that he was Hitler!  Or Mussolini.  Or something like that.  Why do so many Republicans support annexing the Sudetenland?

The Dem numbers are weird. If you only include democrats, Hillarys at 64% and Sanders is at 26%. If you include independents and republicans then Hillarys at 54% and Sanders is at 34%.

Edit: If I can also add, Hillarys numbers are actually up from last month. YouGov's last poll only asked self-identified democrats who their preferred candidate was. This time around they asked Democrats, independents and Republicans. Meaning Hillary has improved with Democrats by 5 points and Sanders is down 5. I think it'd be wrong to compare the last poll to this one.

Man, it seems Trump's comments on making a Muslim database and possibly closing mosques really killed him campaign, just like the pundits predicted.

How many more times are pundits going to declare that "TRUMP JUST KILLED HIS CAMPAIGN, RIP TRUMP" only to see his poll numbers rise?

They said a several times, that certain comments would kill his campaign. Remember? At first with latinos, then McCain, then women and now muslims.

The pundits are afraid to call the Republican voters a bunch of racist bigots for fear that they will sound partisan.
I bet that if Putin was somehow running he would swamp all the other Republican candidates.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. His campaign has been declared dead at least a dozen times by now. And he's reaching new heights. The only thing that seems to put a dent in him are the debates, which seem to temporarily suppress his numbers, but he always bounces back from those.

My big problem with YouGov is that despite other major polls (the one that actually get average in the debate) show Carson caught up with Trump.  YouGov didn't show that at all because there is a 10% to 14% gap between Trump and Carson in polls leading up to the 4th debate.

But all the polls post Paris attack, Trump regain his lead.  Outside of Bloomberg poll, the lead is pretty significant too.  PPP showed a 7 points lead.  While ABC/Wapo, FOX, SurveyMonkey showed a 10 points lead.

I wonder why RealClearPolitics isn't using the polls in their average... it seems, that they exclude all polls with big lead for Trump.

Republicans created the Party of Trump. They no longer get to be shocked that Trump finally leads his party.

I think Trump's numbers are too high. And Sanders's numbers are too low. Anyone else?

Because his supporters are fascists and apparently there are a lot of them in America! You must be overjoyed to see those muslims and mexicans in camps.

Islamophobia, xenophobia, racism, and all out dumb assery are positives for the majority of Republican voters. The GOP is responsible for appeasing to these people.

Nate doesn't like that it doesn't use "standard" methodology, but their overall accuracy is good. Remember, this Nate guy told us Trump would collapse just as he was rising.
