Bill Schuette will be Michigan's next governor. I also like former state senator Tom George, who ran for governor in 2010. He's probably not interested in future political ventures, but I think he should go for it.
Tom Cross should go for Illinois Secretary of State in 2018, because I suspect Jesse White will retire. Either way, he should keep himself in the spotlight; he'd make a great successor for Rauner as governor (or even a primary challenger if Rauner's popularity doesn't recover). Of course, Kirk Dillard would be a good choice too.
