It is a fact that we have no Speaker, and we need one. It is also a fact that all 3 legislators were elected at the same time, thus no one has "seniority" in the sense of continuous service. Thus, I'm opening an election for the new Speaker. And I started a new thread (this one) so that the title is both more current and clear.

Now, without further ado, let's nominate someone! Anyone want to run? If only one person nominates themselves, I suppose they would be the Speaker, and if multiple people nominate themselves, we'll hold an election.

Nomination period lasts 48 hours or until everyone either nominates themselves/states they don't want to run. With only 3 legislators, the latter should happen first.

Now, I am here today doing something unprecedented. I'm not supposed to run for Speaker, however now i the time for change. For too long has the South been broken, The Legislature is slowly rebuilding from political gridlock but we needa do it fast. I promise that if given the chance to be Speaker of the Legislature, I will end this gridlock that has long scarred our land. Thank you all and God Bless you! God Bless the IDS and Atlasia!

After considering a number of options, I have decided to support Haslam2020's bid for Speaker.

If you think you're ready, then great!

Does Steelers want to run, or are we in agreement it should be Haslam?
