How does the Senate have a majority of Conservative Senators but is going to be the opposition party in next parliament?   Do some Conservatives drop out of Senate before next session?  Thanks for helping.

The opposition only refers to the second party in the House of Commons. It's true that the senate can block bills but there are enough vacant seats so that Trudeau can appoint enough senators to make the Liberals the majority. Chances are the senate won't stand in the liberals' way.

Ok so the Conservatives will still have a majority until Trudeau appoints the vacant seats?

Yes, but it's a meaningless majority. The moment they try to block Trudeau on anything he'll take their majority away.

They will introduce a non-partisan board that will make recommendations to  appoint senators. Senators would then sit has "Independents" . So far the Liberal_independent Senate idea has failed as most of the Liberal Senators have formed a block.
