Let's see the similarities-

-Both in their mid-40s.

-Both the second son

-Both highly charismatic and vibrant visionaries.

-Both Catholic.

-Both faced or will face a awkward, uninspiring politician in the general election.

-Both with young children.

-Both U.S. Senators.

-Both "ethnic" (Irish and Cuban)

-Both ran after 8 years of a competent, but tired administration

Seems like the answer is resoundingly yes, and it seems likely he will win the election.

Well, Kennedy only won by like six votes.
Kennedy was much better-looking, inspiring, and smart-sounding than Rubio.  Kennedy dived into the weeds and got specific.  He made big promises.  He wrote "Profiles in Courage" which made him the authority on political courage.
Rubio's father was a bartender.

One possible difference: Did Rubio serve in the military?
If he did, add that to the list.  At one time, military service was viewed as a plus for a candidate.  Nowadays people view it as a detriment, sadly.

Yeah I forgot about that, Kennedy was also widely seen as a national hero because of his unbelievably courageous story from when he served.

I don't see the comparison at all. Rubio is a lot less articulate than JFK is and watching the debates, his only vision seems to be the same as the other candidates, going as far to the right on the issues as possible to win the primary.

For the most part, minus a few differences, yes, they compare very closely.

Is Rubio perpetually doped up because otherwise he could barely stand up due to chronic pain? If so, you can add that as a similarity too.

The only question that remains is: Who will sing Happy Birthday to him in the White House?

I believe someone named Amber Stoner could handle the Happy Birthday duties.

He is Republican Obama.

He is the strongest Republican candidate since Reagan.

And now he's Republican JFK. What will the next Rubio hype thread be about? How he's Lincoln incarnate?

Rubio has the charisma of a wet paper bag, he's not inspiring at all. He's not a visionary, he went back on the only issue he differed from the majority of Republican candidates on.

Kennedy had power in his speeches at the very least.

I'm surprised more of his rivals haven't been pointing this out.

Rubio isn't that charismatic. He's too scripted.

I disagree about charisma of Marco Rubio. He is a very shy person when it comes to TV cameras and life shooting. It is nonsense for public person. Also Rubio always tries to promote his relatives in different political funds and committees. JFK was different.

This thread has got to be satire, surely. I mean look at the poll numbers.

Some of these supposed similarities seem rather irrevelevant. "Second son," "has young kids"...if that's all it takes to be JFK then I guess quite a few people fit that description.

We knew Jack Kennedy.  Jack Kennedy was a friend of ours.  Marco Rubio is no Jack Kennedy.

JFK was a star and it wasn't because he was a Catholic.  He really had something special.

I just don't see that with Marco.
