I saw a lot of conservatives on Twitter erroneously claiming that the shooting was nowhere near planned parenthood and was at a bank or a liquor store, smh. This sort of thing is unacceptable and is terrorism no matter how you spin it.

Two more civilians have died in addition to this officer, bringing the total casualties to three.

Or the twenty or so babies slaughtered today for that matter.

They would have died from the punctured uterus.

There are no excuses for this, none at all. Not "for the babies" or "for God" or anything.

The shooter obviously wasn't pro-life. There has never been a pro-life murderer. The concept itself is a contradiction.

Which is why I prefer the name "pro-birth", which is more accurate.

Anti-abortion is the most accurate term.

Hey "moderate" white Christians:  it's your responsibility to collectively denounce these kinds of acts.

We're all waiting. I don't wanna see any videos of people cheering this on or expressing anything that can be constructed as support, either.

Okay. As a white Christian conservative,  he's a lunatic who should rot in the depths of hell. He doesn't represent me, my family, my friends, or my neighbors. Period.

Another Christian terrorist shooting up a women's health clinic. All Christians should be forced to enter a database. And people say Christianity is a religion of peace?

Can't people just wait for all the news to be verified first?  Why all the rush to GET THE FACTS NOW.  jesus christ Ernest is looking the place up on Google Street View!

In my own case, my rush to get facts was to respond in a timely manner to others who had rushed to get "facts".  Unfortunately once a narrative is established based on erroneous info, it's difficult to correct.

I don't know man. I saw "thousands and thousands" of christians cheering on this attack. After all, I do have the world's best memory. I still think "moderate" christians need to do more to address the problem of radical christianity (and yes, I am going to call it that no matter what the PC police say).

Ever heard of Scott Roeder? There have been over 400 acts of anti-abortion violence inspired by radical anti-abortion groups who publish the names and addresses of abortion providers.

It's possible to be anti-abortion without being pro-life. I think the vast majority of Republicans would fall into this category.

Edit: I don't mean to imply that many Republicans are responsible for this shooting, just that those terms don't mean the same thing.

I mean, killing an abortion provider generally does lower the amount of abortions performed, hence "saving lives."

You really have to either (a) concede that the life of an already-born person is worth more than that of a fetus or (b) condone the abortion clinic murders in order to make sense logically.

So it really is hypocritical when people condemn these murders even when the murders prevent other "murders" from happening.

Or you can (c) reject consequentialism and recognize that the nature of an act itself is pertinent to its morality rather than just the outcomes of either choice. The ends do not justify the means.

Anyone saying "this person doesn't represent me" or "not a real Christian" can no longer criticize Islam in any way.

You can't call legalized abortion a holocaust and call abortion providers murderers and then suddenly be all surprised and outraged that someone shoots up a Planned Parenthood clinic. This is the end result of "pro-life" rhetoric, and the cowardly right-wingers are just sticking their fingers in their ears and ignoring it, hoping it'll go away.

People like Sneed are especially culpable.  When you use language like, "we have to harvest their brain," you basically suggest that people who work for Planned Parenthood are evil, Dr. Mengele  types.  Rubio is also guilty of condoning murder because he thinks women should die if abortion is medically necessary to save their life.  If you think that way, it's not a huge leap to murdering abortion doctors.

Much like BLM isn't responsible for cop-killers and OWS/socialist movements aren't responsible for communist terror, the pro-life movement as a whole holds no culpability here. The radicals who advocate or justify attacks on abortion providers, though, absolutely.

Well, first off I'm praying for the victims and their families at this time and I hope everyone else is too. It's truly saddening that someone who probably was pro-life killed I find that sort of un-pro life. But in the other hand I still believe abortion is a holocaust and I also believe doctors who perform them should be arrested or given the death penalty. But this guy doesn't represent me or the pro-life movement at all. Beacuse he is pro-death not life.

If you honestly that doctors who preform abortions should be given the death penalty, why wouldn't an attack on an abortion clinic be justified?

Keep telling yourself that.

You're also saying: Yeah, I'm okay with the death of many women when that is the only way to save a life. I'm okay with leaving some children born with no chance to live because "muh small gummint". I'm okay with lots of broken families because f^# actually planning this out (ya' know as Planned Parenthood is supposed to do).

Pro-birth is you and your ilks platform.
