Indeed, the only people I see around who are, indeed, ridiculously upset and offended about most minor matters, are the Christmas defenders. I am afraid, they are the ones who will be most upset about the consequences of abandoning what they call "political correctness". Then, again, they can take the gun and go shoot me if I say something they do not like.

No, lest you think the "political correctness" complaint only applies to the "Christmas defenders", I direct your attention to another PC related thread at https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=223912; the problem is clearly more wide spread than you might think...

It's ridiculous to assert that you're politically correct and try to prove it by citing an official US Holiday, a phrase the President routinely uses to end his speeches, and then close out by quoting a phrase that's literally on our money.

I'm too old to give a f[inks] what anyone thinks about what I say.  If I'm being PC, fine with me.  If I'm not, that's fine too.  I really couldn't care less.

People who freak out over what they deem to be "PC GONE TOO FAR" are, in my experience:

1) Reactionaries who constantly feel threatened by every news story
2) Making a way bigger deal about the story in question than any actual PC police
3) HUGE racists. Frequent "I'm not racist, but *insert racist statement here*" abusers

Have we reached a tipping point in our discussion about political correctness?

A baker in Springfield Ohio, Trent Schuler, says that we have. Do you agree?

The sign in the window at his shop reads:

Notice
This store is politically
incorrect
We say
Merry Christmas
God Bless America
We salute our flag &
give thanks
to our troops, police
officers and fire fighters.
If this offends you, you
are welcome to
leave
In God We Trust
