Yes, but it's pretty much never a good thing.  It makes people think you're an ass and can make you overconfident.  I can't think of any upside to being cocky about something, unless your opponent is a seriously intimidatable wimp.

A calenday year ago, I easily would have gotten the most mentions in this thread.  But, times have changed.  I have mellowed and fallen from the forefront.

My answer to this is AuH2O.  He even made a long post one time pontificating about what a good election predictor he was, and then my man Al told him off.

I'd also like to request that AuH2O makes a cameo appearance in this thread.

The truth is some younger women who have less experience dating like them...initially. They mistake arrogance for confidence and only after having to deal with arrogance in a relationship do they learn the difference.

markdel annoyed me quite a bit.

I actually really enjoyed reading Mark's posts, though it could be said he was arrogant in a way.  But he had his facts straight, unlike some others who arrogantly lay out incorrect facts and faulty reasoning.  I guess it helped that I agreed with a lot of what he said, and he was always very friendly and complimentary to me.

I wouldn't say I'm egotistical but I've often been accused of being so self-righteous to point that it has no bounds. Not sure if having a big ego and being self-righteous go hand in hand though
