Wisconsin, like Michigan and Minnesota, will not be in doubt for Democrats come election day.

Polls so far suggest a great year for Democrats in Wisconsin -- anomalously good for the region.

Republicans are in deep trouble in Wisconsin, which for now looks like the Massachusetts of the Midwest. How much so? In an R blowout in the Presidential election, Wisconsin could be one of  two states not on one of the oceans to go for the Republican nominee.

Unless Hillary Clinton wins Carter-style victories in the South (of course, highly unlikely), Wisconsin will be nowhere near being a tipping-point state.

Hillary was trailing Marco Rubio by one point in the last MULaw and your saying its 'solid D'.

Because WI is stubbornly D-leaning and polls a year out should be ignored.

I think Walker's unpopularity will play to the Dem's benefit in 2016.

I don't think I'd quite say "solid D" though.

It's safe D for sure, but I wouldn't say "solid." It won't be a landslide.

Its a six point advantage state, like MN, eventhough polls show MN a closer race. Dems have more time to spend money in CO and Iowa.

Anyone voting yes is just doing so as a reactionary response to people on this board speculating that it ever might vote Republican because that speculation p*sses them off.  Jesus Christ, it is CLEARLY not "Solid D."  A Democrat will LIKELY win it in 2016, but it's not crazy to assume a Republican could ... so I guess I'll say it's LIKELY D.  Let's say I get my wish and Christie is the nominee vs. Clinton, I see this as the map:

Solid D: >70% Red
Likely D: >50% Red
Lean D: >30% Red
Tossup: Gray
Lean R: >30% Blue
Likely R: >50% Blue
Solid R: >70% Blue

Yeah, not good for the 'Pubs.  And this isn't even taking into account the conventional wisdom that NH will vote to the left of Vermont.

Its probably going to be a 272-266 map going Clinton's way.

I say the chance is at least 75%. So safe blue.

Please

That's how I qualify a statement. I don't see Hillary Clinton winning any state that Barack Obama  did not win in 2008 except perhaps Arizona.

It leans D, just like PA or NV.
