As you may know, or not, Austria (together with Germany and Sweden) is currently getting swamped with unskilled migrants from the Middle-East.

70.000 migrants alone this year are getting basic assistance (850€ a month) and have to be integrated into the already strained Austrian labour market (which already has 400K unemployed).

Also, what's more of a problem: 99% of Afghan migrants who are under basic assistance here (or unemployed) only have a primary education, compared with 90% of Iraqis and 85% of Syrians (but even among Syrians, only 10% have a university degree and 5% a secondary degree).

That means the Austrian AMS (Labour Market Agency) is now spending millions of taxpayer money for "competence checks" for AfPakis and Syrians/Iraqis to see what their skills for the labour market are.

The Vienna AMS is the "best": Because many Middle-Eastern migrants (80% of them young men) are objecting to being in these competence courses together with women, the AMS has now introduced segregated gender classes (!!!) for these migrants.

Foreign and Integration Minister Sebastian Kurz almost exploded yesterday, attacking this procedure as "counterproductive for integration and a slap in the face for women's rights and the values we stand for" and that "we have to teach the migrants our values from the start and not create parallel structures for them".

I agree with Kurz, integration should start from the beginning and if these backwards immigrant males cannot stand having women in their job training classes they should be brought to the airport and be deported immediately !

What do you think ?

Don't forget, Europe needs a bunch of young people or... damn it, I forget how the lie was worded.  Something stupid about the economy.

I don't have a kneejerk reaction against it, but it doesn't make sense. They are going to have to work alongside women in the jobs they are being trained for, no?

I'm sure there are some who think it's a good idea, but I am not a fan for obvious reasons. Like Shua said, it doesn't really make much sense, anyway. These people are going to have to interact with the world beyond their learning environment and education is as much about conditioning you for real-world social interaction as it is about booksmarts.

Yeah, this pretty stupid for the reasons Shua and Marokai have mentioned.
