That looks like turnout for a rally for some random state senator, not a Presidential candidate. Oh my god.

I don't quite understand what happened to Fiorina. The 2nd debate in mid-September (Fiorina's 1st) she won according to polls, as strongly as anyone has won a debate. After that she surged into 3rd place behind Trump and Carson and stayed there until 2 months ago. I always thought she was extremely likely to implode but what triggered it?

Naturally you don't understand. And you won't understand when Trump becomes President.

I've actually seen better turnout for a state senator than that.

It must be so demoralizing to supporters of other presidential candidates to see pictures of the absolutely humongous Trump crowds.  If I was a Fiorina guy I would just be sitting there listening to her gamely trying to put a smile on and thinking, how on earth are the twenty of us going to catch up to Trump's 20,000 with just seven weeks to go?

This turn out is only sightly higher than my county's Libertarian Party meeting at Margarita's last week.

I would joke about not even Jim Gilmore turning up for a Gilmore rally but as he's actually failed to show for several appearances already, usually with no prior notice or explanation, it wouldn't even be a joke.

It looks like that sign behind her reads "Iowa presidential tech town hall." Maybe there just aren't that many techies in that part of Iowa?

Compulsive lying, combined with lack of media attention because of focus on Trump and Carson. Sexism on the right probably didn't help either.

Same thing that happened to Walker, except Fiorina hasn't realized it yet. She failed to maintain the voters' interest.

It was in Cedar Rapids. I actually know an IT guy who lives there interestingly. Doubt he was at this rally.

It's one thing for Herr Trump to win the Republican nomination, it's quite another for him to become President. Even the stupidest liberal is more intelligent than the smartest conservative.

1.  She's personally super-strident.

2.  She was caught lying about Planned Parenthood and doubled down.

3.  She's an irresponsible warmonger who came out of the closet on that issuel

Fiorina's strength, her ONLY strength, is that she is a superb communicator.  Ronald Reagan was The Great Communicator.  But Reagan was likeable, didn't blatantly lie (until Iran-Contra, and even then, he came clean), and spoke softly while carrying a big stick.  Fiorina's a self-righteous lying warmonger that wore poorly on people; a nice looking garment from Ross or Marshall's that's threadbare after the third cleaning.

My hope for America is that their dislike for Fiorina stems from her strident warmongering posture with Iran.  She seemed to me to almost crave the opportunity to play Stare-Out with the Supreme Leader.  Perhaps America saw the preening narcissist through the communication skills; a narcissist that cared little for the American dead that would result in an avoidable military conflict engaged in for mere political gain.

I bet Gilmore would get more people out of morbid curiosity with his campaign.
