I would too and I have no idea why any of them do any debates outside of Fox.

I want to see Pataki, Santorum and especially Graham beat up on Rand for his disgusting pro-terrorist foreign policy though! Sad

Wouldn't be surprised. Rand is a mere silhouette of his father.

Paul may get more media noise by boycotting the kiddie debate. As far as Hail Mary passes go, it's not that bad of an idea.

Would you say the same of Patrick J. Buchanan's foreign policy positions?  I think Rand Paul wants to get away from the "wars in perpetuity" neoconservative foreign policy we had in the Clinton, Bush and Obama years.

So what are the betting odds on Paul running again in 2020 (assuming a Clinton victory next year, meaning another open GOP field in 2020)?  One year ago, I would have put that as being a near lock, but if he did this badly in 2016, maybe he's not actually going to bother running for president in every cycle.

There's no point to him running ever again, as the media will refuse to allow him to win no matter what. I thought they might treat Rand fairly since he's given olive branches to the establishment, but nope, they're giving him the same unfair treatment they gave Ron. And the anti-war college students who supported Ron have moved on to Bernie Sanders.

Selzer's anti-rand agenda is only another piece of the media agenda to make it literally impossible for Rand to win the nomination.

Globe has almost completely walked back this story, but I do wonder how long Rand will remain in.

Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham on the same stage? That's great! This might be the best JV debate yet.

I also wonder what the implications for the main event will be. Will we get to see Christie beating up on Ted Cruz for being weak on counter-terrorism, or do the candidates just pretend to agree on foreign policy if Paul isn't there?

The media is just further demonstrating their bias against Paul by letting him self-destruct on the main stage.

The polling deadlines just seem arbitrary at this point.

Neocons: funding al qaeda, destabilizing iraq and libya, encouraging a destabilization of syria, funding rebels that aren't actually moderate, terrorizing other nations, and calling opponents of that the pro terrorist people.
