Protecting the Free Speech in Education Act

1. The act hereby bans any so-called "free speech zones" and "safe spaces", that in one way or another restrict constitutional free speech rights, on the university and college campus territories.

Sponsor: Assemblyman Pingvin

Speaker's Note: Let's open this up to a debate, shall we?

I agree with this bill. I'll support it fully once its brought down to a vote in a few days, or soon if Assemblyman Steelers won't debate against it.

Can Assemblyman Pingvin explain further this Act?

Of course.

Recently, we've been seeing the wave of so-called "social justice" activists trying to blatantly enforce their agenda upon the universities and colleges. As a someone who believes in constitutional free speech rights of citizens and that universities were always a place for intellectual discussion and debate, I believe this act is necessary if we don't want any political bias to dominate over the learning process.

Yep, free speech is a non-negotiable for a free country. If someone is too closed-minded to even listen to things they don't agree with, they don't have the right to force others to shut up.

I just saw this act. I would like to commend the Legislature of the region for taking an important stand on this issue. Threats to freedom of speech cannot be tolerated.
