The Hateful Eight, even though I am significantly less excited for it than I was for Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained. Mostly because it sounds just too similar to Django and one of Tarantino's strengths is how his movies are always so unique and rarely retread.

Tarantino is trash, so Star Wars, but I'm looking forward to The Revenant more than either.

There is no movie I am less excited for than Star Wars, so Tarantino wins by default even though I am way more excited for Joy

Star Wars is more iconic in a way.  But, Tarantino has made 4-6 movies better than the best Star Wars movie.  Tough choice.

The Revenant looks good! I generally agree with what you said.

But with regard to episode VII I'm looking forward to seeing the original cast again.

Agreed. I want to see both of them but I'm not sure that I'd describe myself as "excited" for either of them.

Star Wars, since Tarantino is hit [Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Inglorious Basterds, Djano]-and-miss [Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Death Proof].

Sans Attack of the Clones, I can't name a Star Wars I didn't enjoy on some level. And apparently this one's supposed to be Raiders of the Lost Ark in feel.

So yeah, obviously Star Wars.

The last time I can remember being this excited for a movie was Avengers, and Star Wars is surpassing that excitement.

A significant number of people have even a faint interest in Stars Wars? Ugh.

Obviously Hateful Eight, but Revanant and Danish Girl far more than either

I'm seeing Star Wars tomorrow evening, and Hateful Eight probably in January, if that answers the question.

Can't say I have a raging hard-on for either of them.  Apparently, "Friends (The Movie)" is also coming out in 2016.  Who would have guessed?  I'll probably watch it about three years from now, drunk, at 3AM, on IFC, when I can't get to sleep because of some IRS mistake that is keeping me awake.  Probably about then I'll watch those two movies you mention.

I am sort of looking forward to Son of Saul.  It seems morose and suspenseful.  I don't usually pay money just to see new movies, but I might pay money to see that.  Weekend afternoon rate, of course.

Nobody, because it isn't.
