My predictions are Castro, Kaine, Sherrod Brown,  Hickenlooper,

Vilsack, Bayh, Warner, Booker, Heinrich will make into the initial shortlist,

Deval Patrick and O'Malley may get cabinet post

Schweitzer could be dark horse

I think she is going to pick Kaine, pretty safe vp choice, Castro a bit overrated

Hilda Solis will certainly be on that list -if she's interested.

My guesses are Chris Murphy, Tim Kaine, Julian Castro, Michael Bennet, Cory Booker and Xavier Becerra.

Castro seems the likeliest choice. He's young, promoted by the party, Hispanic and has connections to a key Clinton ally (Bill's HUD Secretary Cisernos).

Kaine will always onder if Clinton just couldn't forgive him for supporting Obama in '08.

Bernie's shortlist but not Hillary's.

Hillary is the one that needs some shoring up to do with the activist base -not Sanders.  And Hilda fills that role perfectly.

She's a woman though, and a two-female ticket might be pushing it a little.

The way the GOP is going, Hillary doesn't need a man to round off her ticket.  I'd say she has every reason to double down and go for an all-woman ticket (Clinton/Solis being my preference).

Unless, of course, you take those general election polls taken a year in advance (and during the holidays) seriously...

I don't, but we should save talk of an appendage-less ticket for when Cruz or Trump actually become the nominee.

Even if you believe that's true, people sometimes end up on the short list for symbolic reasons.  You may want to pander to such-and-such a constituency, so you at least go through the motions of considering a VP candidate they would like.  Even if your chances of picking them are slim.

Hillary doesn't seem too concerned about liberals. Plus a male/female ticket is more likely than one with 2 females.

Really? If you are going to peddle lies on behalf of your candidate, at least make them half-way believable.

Oh, and here's another

Sherrod Brown, Tim Kaine, and Mark Warner are good picks strategically. If she wins Ohio or Virginia, she almost certainly wins the White House.

Oh, and here's another

She said TPP was the gold standard until she realized she needed to pretend to oppose it for the primary. It's Hillary who should try to make her positions half-way believable. And she said she pleads guilty to being a moderate.

We should save talk about Veep candidates in general until after it becomes clear that the GOP has settled on a nominee.

Yeah, there was a list leaked earlier this year that had Kaine, Bennet, Castro and Kamala Harris. If she wants to pick a white male there's even a logic to putting someone like Harris (who checks multiple boxes) on the leak list because you have an excuse for going another way: she's not ready. Same with Booker and Castro.

Look her up.

Never say never.  Unlike, say, Tim Kaine, she remained a Clinton loyalist until Hillary finally threw in the towel in June 2008.  Hillary wants someone she can trust.

I actually looked her up last night, and that fact that I had to is really telling.
