Crazy. Just crazy. I have a friend who was there when it happened and was sending me videos after. What a horrible tragedy.

Very sad.  Too much senseless death lately.

We cant have these people getting cars and killing folks now can we.

I call a ban on cars as they can be used for mass killings.

so, are you suggesting that to own a gun should be as regulated as owning a motorcar? Because I don't think you've thought that "clever argument" very far.

Seriously these guys are idiots. So we should register every single gun in America, right?

As far as motive goes, I bet she was a pro-life nut looking for a planned parenthood.

Driving a Car and having a DL in this country isnt a RIGHT, its a privlege.  One that can be taken away or not given at all.

Meanwhile

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Point i was making is to the people that want to ban objects rather then address behavior.

A car is basically useless in most cases if it cannot be on public property, which isn't true of guns, so your little "gotcha" distinction kind of misses the point.

not that I think car and gun regulations should be identical, obviously

Just curious why you didn't bold the first part of the Second Amendment also.

Highlight the " shall not" because the above was trying to make owning a car and or driving Privileges on equal footing as the right to bare arms.

This isn't the thread for it but I'd be more than happy to debate that first part of the 2ND with you else where.
Certainly you don't believe "well regulated militia" refers to some form of Gun control?

The Second Amendment is always a fun debate to have.  It can mean anything you want it to mean; that's the fun of sentences that don't make grammatical sense.
