I think so. I cant imagine how horribly monotonous it would be to live in a place with no seasons.

There is no vitality to your life, your natural world is incredibly static...there is no poetry to the trees and land around you.

I like seasons, though I wouldn't mind a climate somewhat milder than South Dakota.

If I had to live in a monotonous climate, I would choose something like San Francisco, but I'd prefer some variation.

I don't understand even what you're trying to say here. Is it some sort of implicit shinksing on tropical regions? Regardless, this smacks of illogical geographical determinism.

Washington winters don't count.

Note that I live in Spokane, not Seattle. So while the winters aren't as unbearable as Canada or the upper Midwest, we still certainly get cold weather and snow, it's not a coastal climate.
