No (not Christian). Though I'll probably be watching Home Alone... while indeed being alone in my apartment.

No (Jewish).

But, I occasionally partake in secret santa type things, and usually go to one or two small Christmas parties when I'm invited.

Yes, by hanging out with friends and some family, exchanging presents, catching up on the year with those who I see infrequently and who may be around, watching a lot of football, talking about football, and drinking lots and lots and lots of wine.

Tempted to vote option 3 as I'm not sure we're "celebrating" it or not, but I won't because we'll still participate in some secular traditions, and maybe pray.

Yes (Option 2).

I'm curious with the Jewish folk on here: how many Jews celebrate Christmas? Growing up in an overwhelmingly gentile area, all the Jews I knew celebrated Christmas in addition to Chanukah--only in college have I encountered people who don't celebrate Christmas. How many Jewish people have Christmas?

In 2015 America, where the most vocal tend to be the non-religious and the very religious (read: Evangelical), identifying as a Christian seems to have more strings attached than ever.  However, I'll go with option 1.

Depends on how you mean "celebrate Christmas". I voted Option 2 as we have a nice tree, open presents, have a good feast later on in the day, etc. Y'know, all kind of Christmas stuff.

I'd say at least 1/5th of American Jews do. Intermarried Jews in particular.

No/backslider

The kids get some sh**t, I keep the cards we get in the living room, eat a meal or two with extended family....that's about it.  No tree, no lights....don't really care.

Standard British Christmas in that we avoid the religious stuff, avoid the Queen's Speech and watch some rehashed Sitcom Christmas special after a big lunch, followed by watching the football on boxing day

Yes (Christian).  We usually have a family gathering on/around Christmas Eve with the extended family, where we open presents between us (not within the house) after reading the first part of Luke 2, when Jesus is born and the angels appear to the shepherds.  After everyone leaves, we exchange and open presents between the ones who live in our house.

On Christmas Day, we typically don't do much, except occasionally have a special breakfast.  I like to watch A Christmas Story at least once on TBS every year, even if it's edited and cut  for time.

If you're Christian but don't celebrate Christmas, how do you call yourself a Christian?  That's like, the central event of Christianity (along with Easter)

Yes(Christian)
We celebrate the Feast of The Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. Followed by Midnight Tridentine Mass. Then we sleep and open presents in the morning. Then we have breakfast usually bacon and eggs. Then we go to Tridentine Mass again at 8:45 at the local church and then we make the food for Christmas Dinner and around 70 members of my dads family comes over (large Sicilian family). And we dine on Raviolis, Homeade Sausage, Breads, Meatballs, Stuffed Peppers, Artichokes and Mushrooms and usually some Stigghiola and then the adults drink wine that one of my dads uncles brought from the old country and we kids drink Italian sodas. Overall it's fun but really expensive
