Unlike the Sanders campaign, which is both a disease and a criminal activity.

Lol no proof but just spew the lies. Also i thought the Internet was freedom of speech... it's called lots of people online supporting Sanders since they are tired of the Clinton Dynasty.

I live in the UK and you live in Canada. We live under genuine dynasties (in fact you live under two now that Biebertrudeau is in power). The Clinton conglomeration returning to power is not a dynasty. Not that, of course, the rule of Hillary Clinton won't be a spectacular farce. I just fail to see how a one issue campaign targeted at upper-middle-class urban liberal white males will make an any impact, and how Sanders won't go down in flames in the general.

At this point, I've resigned myself to the fact that the only good president I'll ever see in my lifetime is going, and will be replaced with a farce (Clinton) or a slightly more entertaining farce (Trump). Might as well spend my time working for a genuine left-wing campaigner like Corbyn,  rather than getting excited about some Danish supremacist who doesn't even have the gonads to make a coherent foreign policy and will, at best, exceed Bill Bradley's result in 2000.

Sounds exactly like something my hero Chris Christie would say Smiley

Yes, I actually preferred the Jeb hacks because those were at least funny and had some reasoning skills (though they weren't all that intelligent either).. The Bernie losers are just a waste and even more deluded. It's almost sad.

The quote itself is obviously good, but it's not like Sanders has a stellar record on drug policy. His vague statements about how the War on Drugs is bad and states should be allowed to legalize marijuana if they choose to isn't close to the comprehensive reform that's necessary at the federal level.

It's another example of how Sanders tends to be correct on the surface, but his substance is utterly lacking.

Against my better judgment, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are interested in having an actual discussion.  I'm running on four hours sleep, so please bare with me.  My impression of that quote (although you admittedly didn't give any context, so who knows) is that Sanders was probably arguing that we should de-criminalize drug use when he said that.  If this is the case, then it is indeed a horrible quote.

Just to be clear, I definitely think the whole "mass incarceration solves all" mentality that many in the U.S. seem to have is horrible and that the Reagan and Clinton administrations' subservience to the country's prison industrial complex and willingness to dabble in law-and-order style race-baiting (Bush Sr was also guilty of this) led to some inexcusably awful laws that continue to plague the American criminal justice system (privatized prisons are arguably a culmination of this).  I also think some drugs should be de-criminalized (or in the case of marijuana legalized and taxed/regulated).  I am fine with putting greater emphasis on treatment as well.

That all being said, things like heroin, meth, cocaine, date rape drugs, etc should not be de-criminalized.  Even ignoring all of the health risks, using them (and certain other drugs) can often make a person a very real danger to others and/or they can be used to hurt others.  It's not a victimless crime.  Using certain illegal drugs (including almost all hard drugs) should be a crime with serious penalties.  Plus, whether you like our drug laws or not, they are the law of the land and you can't just ignore that because you want to get high.

TL;DR: Not to sound like smoltchanov/wulfric, but both sides really need to stop over-simplifying this issue.

That's so off base, it's not even funny. Bernie has a much wider appeal.

Some upper-middle-class urban liberal white females like him too.
