Of course only an actual census can be the basis of a reapportionment of the U.S. House of Representatives, but if the July 2015 state population estimates that were released in December 2015 by the U.S. Census Bureau were the results of an actual census, the resulting reapportionment of the House would have the following differences from the current House apportionment, which is based on the 2010 census:
Each of the following states would
gain one seat:
- North Carolina
- Texas
- Florida
- Oregon
Each of the following states would
lose one seat:
- Minnesota
- Pennsylvania
- Illinois
- Michigan
