One more blow against the Republican concern trolling about Obamacare.

More youngs are being coerced into signing up due to the heavy fines they would have to pay otherwise?  Oh.

You're just describing how the law was designed to work, except in derisive language. Your point is?

Or nothing at all! He might as well have said "Obama was right": he pretty much did.

And it's a DISGRACE.  If it weren't for these coercion tactics, young people would be out there enjoying life instead of going to the doctor.  Thanks Obama you brutal dictatorial psychopath!

Yes because no one can afford to offer benefits anymore.  Obama talked of using tricks to manipulate the system in 2003 and it's what the voters wanted in 2008.  Now it's only a matter of time until it takes 6 weeks to be seen for a broken arm and 12 hours for a heart attack.

But what are your thoughts on the topic at hand?  Why are more young people signing up for Obamacare?  I can tell you they wouldn't be paying for it if they had jobs providing it!  Go ahead it's ok, add a little substance why don't you?

These youngs having jobs providing health insurance is completely hypothetical which is why they fall back on the ACA. Furthermore, fewer and fewer jobs not providing health insurance is a long-standing trend of deindustrialization that is at best 1% a result of the ACA, and 99% the cause of it's passage.

Meanwhile , feel free to post your accusation of "add a little substance" directly to the irony mine. Thank you.

I don't really see how this article is news. "People Obey Law" Might as well run a story "Most Adults Not Raping People" The very existence of this article smells of Obama fetishists trying to cling to any hint of a positive legacy they can.

Yes. Very mad we don't have socialized medicine.

The fact that people are signing up for Obamacare under threat of a $2000 fine does not mean Obamacare is good.

Many more people are covered, and the cost curve is being held down lower than the biggest naysayers projected. Is it perfect? No. Is it doing good? Absolutely.

The fine for 2016 and beyond is 2.5% of income, so $2000 is only the fine for people making $80,000.

The big story, of course, is that health insurance premiums, even for youngs, are going to run higher than $2,000 (or the much lower fine amounts that the vast majority of young people are looking it), so it's a pretty big deal that young people are deciding to do the smart, responsible thing and sign up for health insurance rather than the selfish, illegal, and short-sighted thing and taking their chances (knowing that hospitals will be legally required to treat them in emergencies).

If Generation Y weren't so smart and responsible, the Affordable Care Act wouldn't make it. I'm very proud of my generation that that's not the case.

Sure, but you forgot to mention that signing up for Obamacare is legally required.  Why not brag about your party's bill being followed in general or is that what you're doing?  You should also make a thread glorifying the fact that people are obeying the law of not taking dumps on each other in the middle of a grocery store.  That's about the logic of your statements.  Signing up for Obamacare and not taking dumps on each other in public are both law.  So what?  People follow the law.  Once we overturn your law, even if it's a hundred years from now which is how long it's looking right now, people will have their constitutional rights back and there will be nothing you or your party can do about it.

So you are furious at Obama for not passing single payer, and presumably will vote Republican over the "obama fetishist" party?

Dude, I'm a Republican and that doesn't even make sense to me.

Why not make a thread then bragging about how so many people file their taxes each year?  After all, it's the law the same as Obamacare.

If Republicans spent 6 years swearing up and down that no one would ever pay taxes, and then it turned out that they did, it might be worth a thread.
