The Superbowl will be held on Feb. 7, 2016.

The NH primary will be 2 days later on Feb. 9

The price for a 30-second spot during Super Bowl L will be 5 million $$$, a new record.

Which candidate, if any, do you think will buy one ?

Randall Terry (militant pro-life activist) tried to buy an ad showing pictures of aborted fetuses in 2012, in hopes that he could primary Barack Obama. It wasn't allowed.

Why? Obama interrupted the World Series so why do you think Trump will do the same with the Super Bowl?

I don't see any candidate buying a national spot for Superbowl 50.  I can easily see several campaigns making targeted buys for New Hampshire, South Carolina, and/or Nevada and hoping they go viral to gain national coverage.  Trump and PACs opposing him are the only possible buys for the SEC primary states and even there, not all of those states.

The Bush campaign (+PAC) will not only buy one SuperBowl ad, but two:

What a waste of money. They act as if they can reanimate the horse that's already like 99% dead.

I really hope none of them, not around here anyway. Really.

But Trump's interest in football and sports would make him the most seemingly genuine to do such a thing.

Not the worst idea for a candidate to buy an ad before NH if the Patriots are in the game.
