Could New York Governor David Paterson have been reelected in 2010, if he had stayed in the race?

Cuomo won with 63%, so I doubt that Paterson would have underperfomed so much that he lost the election.

Paterson probably would've lost - Republicans would've had much stronger recruiting than they did against Cuomo.

That being said, Paterson would probably beat Crazy Carl Paladino.

I doubt that Paterson would lose in NY. If he was up against Pataki/Giuliani, maybe. Against Lazio, it would be close. Against Paladino, lol.

Yes.  He was so unpopular and was losing decisively in the polls to his GOP challengers.
