Ted still won't be elected POTUS. He didn't really want it, too liberal & too many personal issues.

Teddy wins the 1976 in a mirror of the actual election in which Ted Kennedy wins almost all Northeastern states+Handful of Midwest states+Hawaii and maybe the Pacific coast states.




And then loses as bad as carter did in 1980.

I doubt it. Ford was an excellent fit for many Northern states. He at least has Michigan secure, and definitely California. Perhaps a super-duper narrow Kennedy win + no Reagan primary challenge due to butterflies results in President Ford in 1980 and thus him becoming the Republican hero after overseeing two massive economic recoveries. A Secretary of the Treasury Alan Greenspan combined with Fed Reserve Chair Alfred Hayes probably prevents even the Recession of 1982-1983, although the 1992 one is probably increased and pulled back to 1989 to 1991.

In other words, a huge effect on the American economy by 1990.
