Understandable. After all, every time a Republican politician or voter hears about a case of police brutality against a black person, crime or guns, their natural instinct is to yell "CHICAGO!" or "DETROIT!", depending on the occasion.

Take it easy, man. However, Jeb is obviously crazy, but we will see what happens in N.H.

And sadly this is why our party never gets more than 12-15% of the black vote....

That must be a shoestring campaign, as it seems to have no budget for fact-checkers pr a Teleprompter.

Say what you want, but President Obama would never make that mistake.

This has been a Republican problem for a long time. They always take the side of police when this was a clear cut case of injustice. We're talking about indicting a police officer for a killing, not charging him with murder. Their fear complex and their authoritarianism has always prevented them from reaching out to black voters and results in being unsympathetic to victims of police abuse. Its not surprising and they'll keep being a 90% white party.

I believe there are Republican incumbent U.S Senators and House Members, like Thad Cochran, who routinely get at least 25-30% of the black vote.

Didn't Dubya get something like 14% of the black vote in Ohio in 2004 according to exit polls?

16% thanks to his anti-SSM stance.

"If you've seen one city slum, you've seen them all."  So said future VP and felon Spiro Agnew during the 1968 campaign.  Perhaps Jeb! has channeled his inner Agnew.  He may even have a Spiro Agnew watch to tell him what time it is.
