This seems sensible. Would you mind clarifying "healthcare fraud", and what recommendations would be given to these agencies to free up funds?

I'm glad to see the Mideast is cracking down on corruption! Was there a rationale for why these particular agencies were selected for auditing?

There's a section in the budget that just says 'health fraud' and costs us 1 billion dollars, so this would mean following up on requests, doing some extra monitoring of funds, making sure companies are being accountable. Going after those who commit fraud or corruption in court would provide some funds in the form of damages, but also contracts would be more efficient, saving money in that aspect. There are a number of other ways money is saved through this bill.

I chose these agencies because they seem like areas where there could be waste, but I guess we could definitely look to education and some of the other areas too!

Looks good. Do you have any estimates on how much this will bring back to the ME Government?

No problem, just wondering.

As debate has ended. We will now be starting a 48 hour vote on the amended version of the ME Departmental Efficiency Audit.

Aye!

That would be the GM's domain, I think.

Fortunately, no. There is no quorum rule in the M.A.R.A., so all you need is a majority of voting representatives. In this case, you were the only person to vote, so the bill has passed 1-0.
