No. Anything can happen in politics. If I told you in 2005 that an African American liberal one term Senator would carry Indiana and a Nebraska electoral vote...against JOHN McCAIN...you would have laughed and called me a troll. Anything can happen.

One year from now President-elect Christie could be meeting with survivors of the great L.A. Earthquake.

Who the hell knows.

Of course not. Rubio and Bush would probably endanger Florida, if anything.

One of them needs to be at the top of the ticket if the party wants a chance. Neither Trump nor Cruz will win a national election.

I agree for them to have the best possible chance although still on the ticket would be better than not.

Kasich is probably your best bet for favorite son effect, plus he doesn't come with the Bush baggage nor the too young for the job issue with Rubio. ALso, Florida is already a bit of a lean R, plus Kasich is very popular in Ohio, more so than either Bush or Rubio in FL.

Dont underestimate Cruz
Or trump... I like Cruz but i begin to think that Trump could inspire massive turnout among white voters without college degrees which would affect florida greatly

If you're talking about Florida, no. They can win Florida without a favorite son on the ticket: polls show that it's competitive even with other candidates. It would certainly help, though.

From the perspective of the Democrats who want the GOP ticket to be a ludicrous failure, yes.

I seriously don't know how anyone can have seen the past year of the prinary and come out thinking either Rubio or Bush are remotely positive assets for a national ticket. The GOP elite are like twenty times more stupid than the base that they sneer at, if Bushubio are the calibre of candidate they pick out.

Bush especially is a phenomenonally bad candidate, who would not only lose McCain style but trigger a huge round of purges within the GOP that could threaten everything the party has won in '10 and '14.

Rubio? Maybe. He's a pretty strong candidate.

Bush? Absolutely not. Having Bush on the ticket would severely damage the chances of the GOP retaking the White House in 2017.

TRUMP is more popular than either of them in Florida.

Looks like there will be one of them by FL primary, with the other going home to lick wounds of 3%.

Yes, Rubio.

Rubio needs to be the Republican Presidential nominee in order for the Republicans to win the Presidency.

Dems probably dont have to win FL. But, to keep Murphy competetive, and competete with Latino vote, Bill and Castro will campaign in FL. Bill might go on telemundo TV. While Hilary will spend her time in Iowa, NV, and at planned parenthood in Colorado.

No, but they probably need to nominate a candidate who isn't fatally flawed such as Trump. I'm a little uncertain of exactly who is fatally flawed at this point beyond Trump. I do think that Rubio stands a much better chance of winning Florida than Jeb. It's hard to imagine Jeb winning much of anything at this point.

If Trump or Cruz picked Bush for VP, it would be construed by the right as a betrayal worse than Reagan's intention to pick Schweicker in 1976.
