TRUMP is not the only voice of angry negativity in the GOP race this year, merely the loudest so far. It may well work to win the nomination, but unless we see a major reversal in current trends in the next eight months, I just don't see it working to win the White House and it's likely to do serious harm to the Republican brand.

Maybe unprecedented, but it's hardly surprising.  If you care about the good fortunes of the party, it was probably a smart move.

I liked Joni Ernst's address better. Haley wasn't awful, but she wasn't that good either.

Nothing went wrong like the Jindall or Rubio speech. She was a class act, but GOP is on the wrong side of the gun debate, after what happened in SC.

Upper-class Southern women are well-known for their grimace-faces. This reaction is merely the by-product of not enough of them being in national politics!
