Does a Romney/Rubio campaign in 2012 instead of a Romney/Ryan campaign change the result of the election?

No. Florida flips, IA, WI, and MI, go D slightly, while NV, CO, and NM go 3-4.5% R. IN and OH go D slightly. Virginia goes R about 2.5-3.3%.

Because Romney increases his share of the Latino vote by a bit, he improves very slightly across the board. The only state that flips, however, is Florida.

Even as a loyal Romney supporter, and a Rubio supporter, I will have to admit, that given this scenario, the only state added for Romney is Florida.

For Romney to have flipped other states, he would have to have run a much better campaign, preferably gaffe free.

It may of put Colorado in play as well, I doubt many people vote primarily  for the VP Nominee, so I am not sure what effect this would have  in 2012.
