The job that isn't so stressful that you morph appearance significantly in just 4 years. The job that doesn't cost millions of bucks and requires two years of campaigning just to get.

I'm used to stress and legal language is tiresome.

Can you pull a Taft and do both?

In all seriousness, President. He gets to (largely) set both the platform of his party and the policies of the nation. It would also be very cool to have snipers on the roof of your house at all times.

President because then my wacky antics would receive extraordinary publicity rather than just being some old kook on the court.

Chief Justice seems like a relaxing part time job.

President.

I love shaking hands with exuberant crowds, kissing babies, and giving pointless stump speeches for which people inexplicably cheer.

Well, seeing as I'm a Democrat, I'd have to say Chief Justice. Being a Democratic president with a Republican Congress (or even one chamber controlled by Republicans) only means years of pointless & partisan Congressional investigations, absolute legislative gridlock and endless attacks on my character. On top of that, Obama has likely maxed out whatever big things can be done via executive order and whatever foreign policy I pursue will instantly be hated by half the country and misunderstood or brushed off by even more too impatient to wait for results.

I used to adore the oval office, but now it seems like no one has any respect for it anymore.

I'll take the job that doesn't have an 18.6% casualty rate, thank you very much.

Chief Justice of course. I can serve as long as I want, until I hit age 100. What could be better than that? My first task of course will be cleaning up the VRA mess.

President on balance, but I think I'd be happy with either one.

I voted Chief Justice, for the relatively quiet life.

Chief Justice was also the job William H. Taft preferred.
