What if Spiro Agnew had remained Nixon's VP and assumed the Oval Office after Watergate? How does 1976 turn out?

Democratic landslide, and probably still for Carter.

The need for a "Washington Outsider" would still be there, and someone "who won't tell a lie" would still be attractive.

It depends on whether or not his scandals come out. If not:

282: Sen. John Glenn(D-OH)/Fmr. Sen. Eugene McCarthy(D-MN) - 50.5%
256: Pres. Spiro Agnew(R-MD)/Sen. Richard Schweiker(R-PA) - 47.1%

Before his resignation, Agnew had done the necessary work to develop his own populist conservative base--a new Nixon, but without the intelligence. As such, I don't believe he would have been as alien to the South as Ford. At the same time, he wouldn't do as well in the Mid-West or Northeast. With the rise of Trump, we have to consider Agnew as a possible "energy" candidate, though he would hardly have that strength as an incumbent--though perhaps he could play his administration as having been strangled by a liberal Democratic "egghead" Congress  comprised of the people that would surrender our national security and such. Maybe that could salvage him in a few industrial states, maybe not.
