THIS NOW MEANS I KNOW OF A "SCENE" BAND FROM ALL 50 STATES!

Other countries not exactly complete:

Canada: Don't know of any bands from the territories or Prince Edward Island. Or even New Brunswick or that matter.
Australia: Never heard of any bands from the Northern Territory or Tasmania.

Go ahead and list them, at least one for every state. List your favorites.

Amazing, the state with some of the most renowned music tradition in America is the last one you find hardcore in. It's almost uncanny.

If hardcore has not invaded the rocky coasts and red clay of PEI, there is hope for this world yet.

Maine just barely made it by the way, that band only has one song I've heard, which was obviously recorded in a basement or garage from some compilation from about 15 years ago. They probably weren't around long obviously.

But Portland is the type of place that just HAS to have a scene.

Edit: I just remembered Cruel Hand are from Portland so there you go.

I've heard of bands and a scene in Puerto Rico. In fact a Puerto Rican guy posted on a forum I used to.

I saw a few shows with a 3/4 Native band in North Dakota, but I believe they were from Beulah which is near the Fort Berthold Reservation but not on it.

Are they from east or west Mississippi? If west, it's likely.

Oh yeah I forgot, there was A Promise of Restoration, an actual Christian emoviolence band from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, which is technically part of a Reservation. Emphasis on technically, it's one of those Reservations that has been overrun by white settlement and now Mt. Pleasant is just a typical university town.

Honestly, my favorite BRTD discovery, or any genre or any topic, still has to be Taqwacore

You'd probably prefer this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sons_of_Abraham

Jewcore

Poplarville, Mississippi. It's in Pearl River County (holy sh!t a dry county!) which is >85% white and gave Romney 78% of the vote.

But if anyone is likely to be a white Democrat there, it'd be these type of guys. Of course seeing as how they're in a rural dry county and not even somewhere like Jackson or the actual Gulf Coast I have to assume they're probably living at home. So, likely non-voters.

BTW Dreambound also let me discover a band from Nebraska that is not from Omaha or even Lincoln: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpNU6KVIma0
