Terribly upsetting that Hillary is still considered a favorite in this race given her various shortcomings and infidelities.

More broadly I suppose these two candidates leading in Iowa says a lot about the state of our politics.

Bloomberg really cant run soon enough.

If you are going to label your thread with that "style" of wording, then it should at least read as :
"Sabato predicts the old hag and narcissistic-bigot will win Iowa."

Does Loony Larry Sabato have any concept of filing deadlines?

And this is his "job."

Uh, you are aware that at the convention, the party can vote to completely invalidate the primaries and just use a smoke filled room, right? In fact, the entire set of party rules on both sides can be changed last-minute at the convention.

If they didn't do it to McGovern, they won't do it to Sanders. And if they did, they'd tear the party apart. It'd be a 1968esque spectacle.

Yeah seriously. It's one thing for superdelegates to tip the scale in a close race, it's a whole other thing to deny the nomination to a guy who wins in a landslide.

Not a perfect parallel to McGovern, because no democrat could have beaten Nixon, he was completely safe.

Plus, a Biden or Kerry entry in late January still allows them to be on some late ballots, and caucus states don't have filing deadlines at all, so they'd have some pledged delegates, and DWS would make some passioned argument about Sanders only won all those states he won because Biden/Kerry couldn't be on the ballot, and call anyone who disagreed anti-Obama and anti-semitic (towards DWS). It might not come off too badly.

And of course, we're not even taking into account DWS bribing states to grant Biden/Kerry an exception to filing deadlines. It's a legitimate possibility.

Cruz will win IA because he has the best organization out there. Trump may have a little more supporters, but Cruz will do better in getting them to the polls.
