President Paul Wellstone. Many moderate democrats were thinking: what the hell just happened? Wellstone raised taxes, maintained most of Paul's policies, he also fought for abortion extremely, and promised to have same sex marriage legalized by 2006. Senator Joe Lieberman considered a primary challenge against President Wellstone but eventually decided against it, as did Former California Governor Jerry Brown. Many Republicans looked to embrace the Paul victories of '92 and '96, however others called for a moderate party. Buchanan was basically the candidate of Paul, and Trump, however Gary Johnson was still relevant. The American Hawks were just.. an irrelevant old party until they got some candidates, having only a few senators and representatives.

Vote for your democratic preference (Wellstone), republican, and  american hawk.

Can I give you some advice - these timelines work better if you give them the full two days or at least a healthy amount of votes (I noticed Wellstone won with only 18 votes cast).
