It certainly was a emotionally wreck for me, watching this great gentleman speaking for the last time before he leaves the political spotlight for good. Obama has become one of my favorite presidents personality, even if I differ on few key issues. The man has more dignity than many of the clowns running for president with the exception of TRUMP, who just playing the fool to get votes from ignorant people.

Send me whatever it is  you're smoking.  It must be the best hooch ever.

Obama's speech was very well done, and it was smart of him to focus on the future. He is an excellent orator, no doubt about it. Yes, he delivered a bit too rosy a rundown of accomplishments, but that was to be expected.

Nikki Haley, the Governor of South Carolina who delivered the Republican response, did an outstanding job of capturing the concerns of us citizens. These responses normally come across as shrill and hollow, but not so this time around. Governor Haley made an excellent case for taking a look at serious Republican alternatives.

Excellent speech, to gear Clinton in right direction for campaign.

Haley which took the confederate flag down, made the perfect case for expanded background checks, at least, taking guns away from terrorists.

And it was pointed out in her speech, not by her, but a case for Dems why minimum wage needs to be raised, Americans are being squeezed & employers are hard pressed to raise wages. Which means min wage should go up.

It was a good speech. It was his legacy speech. Regardless of your view of Obama, he is one of the greatest orators that America has seen.

Why was Kim Davis at the State of the Union address?

She was a guest of Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Joe Biden responses was quite adequate and Dems are poised to pick up the Senate, with Biden's leadership. Ryan, was sitting all night, and showed very little facial expression.
