Entering the 2000 election President Bush has an approval rating of 64%. The unemployment rate  is at historical lows at 3.8%  and the poverty rate also fell to record lows as they are under 10%. The National Debt has also gone down from 4.7 trillion in 1996 to 4 trillion currently and there is a record 330 billion dollar surplus projected for next year. Along with median wages rising rapidly and crime rates falling rapidly the country looks to be  in the best shape it has in all of US history. In the house there are currently 238 republicans to 197 Democrats and in the Senate 56 Republicans to 44 Democrats.

Vice President John Kasich is running on continuing President Bush's policies claiming they have been widely successful and pledges to not only continue Bush's policies but to strengthen them. He has a proposal which he claims will make America Debt free by 2006 instead of 2008 and make America better for the future.
John McCain while agreeing with President Bush's policies , he says that he will spend some of the surplus money to improve America's education, Veteran and senior Healthcare, and build up defense. He says that the debt will take an extra 6 years to pay off , but says America will be better off for it.
Speaker Gingrich on the other hand is running on passing a flat tax , tough on crime  platform, deregulating the economy, and cutting the size of government by a massive margin.

On the Democratic side Governor Mario Cuomo is running on making sure everyone in the US has healthcare, middle class tax cuts while raising taxes on the rich from 30% to 39%, and on reforming of political campaigns are financed so rich people cant buy the politicians.

Businessman Trump has attacked the Globalist Reagan/Bush agenda claiming it has destroyed the country. He says that their policies have made it easier for companies to lay off American workers and replace them with H1B or outsource them to China for slave labor. He says he will terminate NAFTA and replace it with an American worker friendly agreement. He also says that he will impose a one time wealth tax of 14.5% percent for people worth 5 million or more to wipe out the national debt in one full swoop so we wont need to worry about paying it back and Trump says if the country is debt free we can pass single payer healthcare and make sure every american is insured even if they are poor.

Biden is running on a centrist platform of  cutting taxes for the middle class, reforming education with tax credits, and making sure the Debt gets payed off by 2010.

This is excellent - Gingrich v. TRUMP is a very high energy election to make up for the very low energy re-election of Bush/Kasich.

The Gop nomination is so far going to look like a nail biter, while the DNC nomination looks like Trump will win in a landslide

Historians would debate for years after, attempting to decide on the exact relative energy levels of a Moon colony and a border wall.

This. I supported him in the 2012 primary and voted for him in this poll.

We can now project that Newt Gingrich has won the GOp nomination and trump has won the dnc nomination. Let's go to their campaigns

Gingrich: thank thank you for the nomination . Starting from day one , we are going to reduce the size of government , reverse the excesses of 1960s, lower taxes ,  deregulate the economy , and get rid of every anti american liberal created law.

Trump: we are going to make America great again l , by making sure companies hire American workers by taxing companies severely for outsourcing or hiring illegal immigrants. We will also wipe out the debt in one swoop and make sure every American worker has healthcare. My administration will be the greatest since FDR and the country will be greater then ever
